Crown a covering for a tooth, custom-made in a dental laboratory. Crowns are typically made out of a metal gold alloy, porcelain, or some combination of those. They are used to:
- Restore teeth
- Attach a bridge
- Protect weak teeth or root canal-treated teeth
- Restore fractured teeth
- Cover poorly shaped or colored teeth
- Restore dental implants
Bridge also known as a fixed partial denture — replaces or spans the space where one or more teeth are missing. Similar to crowns, a bridge prevents your teeth from shifting, closes the space with a natural-looking artificial tooth, and reduces stress in your bite by replacing the missing teeth.
