Corinthia Wilkerson, DDS | Periodontist
Dr. Corinthia Wilkerson’s academic journey is a testament to her dedication and expertise in dentistry. She began her studies at Spelman College, where she excelled in Biology. Her pursuit of knowledge led her to Rutgers University, where she earned her Master’s in Biomedical Sciences with a Concentration in Oral Biology. She furthered her education at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry, earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree and additional Public Health and Health Policy certificates. Furthermore, Dr. Wilkerson later obtained a Master of Medical Sciences and a Certificate in Periodontology from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM).
Dr. Wilkerson’s pursuit of excellence is exemplified by her three-time receipt of the distinguished HSDM Division of Periodontology Fellowship. Her clinical exposure makes her confident in treating a wide range of hard and soft tissue deficiencies through periodontal regeneration, guided bone and tissue regeneration, implant placement that is prosthodontically driven and periodontally considered, and the treatment of peri-implant diseases. Dr. Wilkerson’s recognition by the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Academy of Osseointegration, and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons for her excellence in clinical and didactic knowledge of implants further underscores her clinical achievements.
